STRUCTURE: THE FOUNDATION FOR ACTIVE LIVING
TRULY HELPING KIDS BE ACTIVE
Schools are the perfect places to practice structure because it's here that structural collapse starts to happen and so, school children don't need to do a lot. And if you don't believe this, compare the average postures of a 5-year old child starting school and an 18-year old young adult leaving school.
Yet schools are under tremendous pressure doing what they're supposed to do: educate children. But what if teachers guided their students through simple re-structuring movement breaks, moving within the body, taking 10-60 seconds at a time...
"Inside-the-body-subtle-strength" and "outside-the-body-mobility", that:
... re-fresh the body in the moment
... re-structures the body over time
... makes any movement (sport, exercise and activity) easy
... take seconds to do
... requires only the space that body is in.
The only barrier, ironically, is the awareness, knowledge and education of the teachers themselves. Broader Thinking provides exactly that!
Helping children be active:
...AND THEN FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS:
BECAUSE STRUCTURE MAKES AGILITY, CO-ORDINATION, BALANCE, STRENGTH AND SPEED HAPPEN
My friends would love to do those "refreshers" because when you do math, you often feel 'dead' on the inside ...and it's nice to feel"Perky"!

We impose a sedentary lifestyle on a superb anatomical structure …...a chronic rate of disuse that destroys bone, muscle and connective tissue.
